Employee Satisfaction Research

StaffProbe Employee Satisfaction Survey

Introduction

Our client was a small food manufacturer who had never conducted employee research before. We were invited to work in partnership with the client to conduct an employee survey and compare the results to our national norms.

Approach

A self-completion Employee Satisfaction Research (StaffProbe) was conducted that comprised both online and pen and paper completion options. As part of our approach we used Vision One’s Apostle Model of segmenting employees.

Recommendation

We were able to identify key gaps in training provision and specific areas where communication was poor. Despite the highlighted problems, comparisons with National norms also showed that the workforce was happy overall and had good relationships with managers.

Action

The client was able to implement new training programmes and communication systems. The Apostle Model also allowed the client to identify departments and shifts where satisfaction was particularly low.

Outcome

Early indications are encouraging and it is now anticipated that an increase in employee satisfaction will be observed in future employee surveys.
