Climbing up Snowdon for Marie Curie As part of our new approach to ‘Giving Back‘ introduced earlier this year, the intrepid Vision One team are giving up their time to embark on a trek up Snowdon this autumn in aid of Marie Curie. About the walk We had planned to take on the fundraiser for Marie Curie in 2020, but unfortunately, due to the Covid19 lockdown, we have had to delay our charity event and we have now rescheduled our walk for Thursday, September 9th, now that restrictions for groups of more than six people being together have been lifted. Many charities are suffering these days, and whilst Marie Curie Nurses are supporting families across the UK, we’ll be lacing up our walking boots, trekking 3,560ft to the summit of Wales’ highest peak to help fundraise for this incredible charity. Where the money goes… £180 pays for someone with a terminal illness to attend the day therapy at the hospice £400 pays for someone to stay in a Marie Curie Hospice for 24 hours so that they can receive the hands-on care they need in their final days. £1,250 pays for a portable oxygen system that will relieve distressing symptoms, so…
