About Christine
Christine Cairns Joined us as Research Executive in 2019 after successfully completing her internship over the summer. Christine plays a pivotal role in delivering research projects for our clients, from managing our qualitative recruitment to preparing insightful management reports. Whilst studying a Consumer Psychology module at Bangor University, she became fascinated with consumer behaviour. She pursued her passion further and completed her Masters in Consumer Psychology with Business – the perfect foundation for a career in research and strategic insight!
Why did you decide on a career in Market Research?
I’ve been fascinated by consumer behaviour for a long time and really wanted to work in a field where that interest can be put into practice. I love how consumer insight can transform a business and help them to develop and help improve the customer experience.
What's been the most interesting project you've worked on?
I would have to say Dr Beckmann because I got to go to my first focus group, which was surprisingly interesting considering it was about toilet cleaners! It was a great experience and I loved understanding both the flow and how the conversation can evolve and evoke new ideas – you can actually see the creativity bouncing off everyone.
What do you think the priority for Research Agencies should be in 2023?
I feel like a big trend that companies should embrace is the move towards becoming greener. Some of the projects we’ve done have shown trends in people’s interest in sustainability. We’ve noticed when showing the option of a green packet or green messaging, people react positively or think that brands need to showcase this more.
And finally have you got any book recommendations?
Unnatural Causes by Dr Richard Shepherd. A fascinating and touching read, I finished it a few months ago, and I’m still thinking about it now.
