Her academic background in Sociology and Public Health sparked an early fascination with understanding people, behaviours and the factors that influence decision-making. That interest has remained constant throughout her career.
Tammy believes that great research does more than provide answers—it gives organisations clarity, confidence and the ability to make bolder strategic decisions. Recent Interview
Adam Lunt, our head of Client Development, recently sat down over coffee with Tammy over a coffee to learn more about her career, what motivates her, and why she’s so passionate about research and insight
“What first sparked your interest in understanding people and behaviour?”
I’ve always been fascinated by what makes people think, feel and act the way they do. That curiosity led me to study Sociology and later Public Health, where I learned just how much human behaviour influences outcomes. Throughout my career, whether in business development or market research, I’ve found that understanding people is at the heart of every successful decision, brand and organisation.
Although my career has been rooted in business development, I’ve always been drawn to research because of the clarity it provides. Too often, businesses make decisions based on assumptions rather than evidence. Great research cuts through the noise and gives organisations the confidence to move forward. I love being part of that process and helping clients uncover insights that genuinely make a difference.
Without question, it’s building relationships. I’ve spent over 25 years working with businesses of all shapes and sizes, and I’ve learned that the best results come from truly understanding a client’s challenges and ambitions. There’s something incredibly rewarding about connecting the right people, solving problems and helping organisations achieve their goals through better insight and understanding.
Health and well-being have always been important to me. I’m a qualified Pilates instructor and enjoy helping people improve their physical wellbeing and confidence. Outside of that, I love spending time with family and friends, keeping active, and finding opportunities to learn something new. Curiosity doesn’t stop when the working day ends!
